The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy

Hillary Clinton Cries Foul!!

Hillary Rodham Clinton

Do you remember back in 1998 when Hillary Clinton, in defense of her husband President Bill Clinton and his administration during the Lewinsky scandal, characterizing the Lewinsky charges as part of a vast right wing conspiracy perpetrated by Clinton’s political enemies.

Well, now it seems the Clinton’s are also victims of a vast left wing conspiracy. Hillary Clinton is complaining that the liberal left-wing media isn’t giving her a fair shake in the press. Imagine that … Hillary Clinton complaining that the media has a left-wing slant!

It seems that Hillary Clinton is accusing the left-wing media of giving Barack Obama’s campaign its support and maximum media exposure … while telling America her campaign is dead in the water and that she cannot now defeat Obama.

I think, however, that Obama had better not count his chickens before they hatch! Hillary Clinton, and the Clinton political machine, are not above using “less than ethical” means to hijack the democratic convention. Hillary Clinton, if nothing else, is very ruthless and very ambitious!

After all, there is quite a body count surrounding the Clinton’s rise to power.

Obama’s Global Tax Proposal

Barack Obama

Barack Obama’s innocuous sounding Global Poverty Act is being pushed by Senator Joe Biden (no big surprise there) and Senator Richard Lugar, the ranking republican member.

Richard Lugar has worked with Obama in the past to increase foreign aid for Russia, ostensibly to stem nuclear proliferation. It seems Lugar has become Obama’s mentor. Like Senator Joe Biden, Richard Lugar is a globalist. They have both pushed for passage of the U.N.’s Law of the Sea Treaty … another attempt at turning American sovereignty over to the UN!

This bill, which has the backing of many ultra-liberal religious groups makes the level of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations. The legislation would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of it gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends.

Jeffrey Sachs, who runs the U.N.’s “Millennium Project,” says that the U.N. plan to force the U.S. to pay 0.7 percent of GNP in increased foreign aid spending would add $65 billion a year to what the U.S. already spends. Over a 13-year period, from 2002, when the U.N.’s Financing for Development conference was held, to the target year of 2015, when the U.S. is expected to meet the “Millennium Development Goals,” this amounts to $845 billion. And the only way to raise that kind of money, Sachs has written, is through a global tax, preferably on carbon-emitting fossil fuels.

This is absolutely unbelievable! We should be pulling out of the UN and ending our support, and Obama wants us to give the UN $845 billion of our tax dollars over the next 12-years. Why … so they can siphon it off to spend it on more anti-American programs, to pander to terrorists, or work harder to undermine our Constitutional rights? How many of you actually believe that money will end up in the hands of the world’s impoverished? Remember the oil for food scandal? I certainly do!!

This so-called “Lugar-Obama initiative” is patterned after another disastrous plan; the Nunn-Lugar program, which is commonly known as known as the Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) program. This program was supposedly designed to eliminate weapons of mass destruction in the former Soviet Union. However, one noted defense analyst, Rich Kelly, found evidence that “CTR funds have eased the Russian military’s budgetary woes, freeing resources for such initiatives as the war in Chechnya and defense modernization.” Kelly recommended that Congress “eliminate CTR funding so that it does not finance additional, perhaps more threatening, programs in the former Soviet Union.” Unfortunately, over $6 billion has already been spent on this ill-designed program.

And … in fact, another program based on Nunn-Lugar model, the Initiatives for Proliferation Prevention (IPP), was recently exposed as having funded nuclear projects in Iran through Russia.

Americans who would like their senators to know how they feel about this “Global Poverty Bill” they are voting on can contact them through information at this official Senate site.

All I can say is God help us all if Barack Obama is elected president in November.

I wonder were he is going to get the $210 billion for his program to “create jobs” in construction and environmental industries.

Obama’s program consists of two programs over a 10-year period. The larger program will spend $150 billion to create 5 million so-called “green collar” jobs by seeking to develop more environmentally friendly energy sources.

Another sixty-billion dollars would go to a National Infrastructure Reinvestment Bank to rebuild highways, bridges, airports and other public projects. Obama estimates that this could generate nearly 2 million jobs, many of them in the construction industry that’s been hit by the housing crisis.

According to Obama, this program will be paid for by ending the Iraq war, cutting tax breaks for corporations, taxing carbon pollution, and raising taxes on high income earners.

In other word; surrendering to terrorists and raising taxes. Who would have thought!

And … if that is not enough to make your blood boil, this “Millennium Project” also commits nations to banning “small arms and light weapons” and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention on Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women, and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
